Organized group of neighbors or apartment community who watch out for criminal and suspicious behavior and report it to the Police Department to help prevent crime and promote cooperation among residents and police.

Safe City Federal Way is a nonprofit organization that promotes information sharing via the Safe City website to prevent and solve crime in the business community.

Citizen’s Academy
Citizen’s Academy offers members of the Federal Way Community a better understanding of the policies and procedures of the Federal Way Police Department. Participants learn about the men and women protecting their community and why they make the decisions they do. Class meets one evening a week for 10 weeks. Classroom sessions cover the basic functions of the Police Department: patrol, traffic, investigations and support services. Participates must be 18 years or older to attend.
